Got my 2 Rankins today (there around a year old) and have been breeding twice today....that I saw. How soon do I need to put a nesting box in the Viv for the female?
Also, do I need to do anything special for her ie increase her Calcium & Vitamin D3 intake at all? _________________ 2x Rankins Dragons & 1x Yemen Chameleon

I usually place a nest box in the viv once the animals are mature even if no mating has been seen. This allows the females time to get accustomed to the nesting site and gives you time to get the temps etc.
Mine normally start to dig and inspect the nesting box a few days before laying.
You can dust all feeds (during and a few weeks after) and even offer defrost mouse pinks to help the female keep in shape. _________________

Im assuming that my Rankins are mating!
The male keeps going on the back of the female and holding on to the skin on the back of her neck, he seems to hold on for a while until he finally lets go...although we have seen him go through the motions once. _________________ 2x Rankins Dragons & 1x Yemen Chameleon
